WolfPack's Wickert inducted into WFSCA Hall of Fame

Longtime softball assistant honored for commitment to the sport

Earlier this year, Madison College softball assistant coach Jim Wickert was inducted into the Wisconsin Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association (WFSCA) Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2016.

Wickert has been an assistant for the WolfPack since 2008, helping revived the program alongside current head coach, Leo Kalinowski.

At the same time, Wickert has been a valued piece of the coaching equation at McFarland High School for 27 years. He has aided the Spartans to eight conference championships, ten regional titles, and two trips to the WIAA State Tournament (2006, 2014).

In 2006, he was named an assistant coach for the WFSCA Senior All-Star Game, and was honored for his outstanding commitment and service to the sport in 2008.
