Bill Scheer

Bill Scheer is entering his 17th year as a golf coach for Madison College. Scheer served as head coach for the Madison College golf team in three stints, with his first and longest being for nine years from 1992-2001. He also led the program from 2009-2011, and after a one year hiatus, returned to the head coaching role from 2013-14. Bill is now an assistant coach for Bill Kokott, whom he split head coaching duties with for the 2014 season.

During Bill's tenure as head coach, his teams won six conference and five state titles. He produced six national qualifiers and two All-Americans, while receiving state coach of the year honors five times.

Scheer was a two-sport athlete at Monona Grove H.S. where he earned golf team MVP honors in three straight years and also served as team captain. After high school, Scheer attended Madison College to play golf for the late, Doug Redsten. He qualified for the national tournament and earned all-conference, all-state, and all-region honors.

In addition to coaching, Scheer has been a PGA member since 1992 and is currently the PGA Director of Instruction at The Bridges Golf Course in Madison, WI, the home course of the WolfPack.
